[updated]
reece (admin) responded:

We make all videos on HomeField publicly viewable by the team by default, because we believe players should have access to the game film that relates to them.

However, that doesn't mean they have to see you discussing the film with other coaches. So if you want to start a private discussion with just other coaches, simply hit "Start Discussion" on any video on your home screen and in the discussion under "Who Can View This?" just add the coaches you want.

All that being said, we hear your concern about keeping some video private. We'd love to hear more about this though. Is this scout video? Practice video? What are the reasons for keeping it private? Will it always be private or will it be public at some point? Any information about how you want to use the video will help us design a solution.

As you can see now, HomeField videos are sorted by team name on the left hand side of your Chalkboard (the main page). If you make the "Team" in a video "Faceoff Unit" or "Extra Man Offense," all the videos with that team name will appear together.

Building playmaking software is actually pretty involved (we don't half-ass things around here!) so we're considering how we can potentially fit this functionality into HomeField in the most functional way possible.

I am really intrigued by the idea to trade animated plays and I'm curious if other coaches agree. That sounds like an awesome idea for coaches who collaborate... Definitely keeping that in mind.

Thanks for the input. Keep more ideas coming...

reecetag:homefield.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10041632010-01-02T14:10:46-08:002010-01-02T14:10:46-08:00Slow motion button [is now planned]
And a slightly larger viewing screen for HD Pro accounts.
reecetag:homefield.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10041622010-01-02T14:10:46-08:002010-01-02T14:10:46-08:00Slow motion button [updated]
And a slightly larger viewing screen for HD Pro accounts.

reece (admin) responded:

Sloooooooowwww-mmmmmmooo...

Haha... Great idea!

As for the larger viewing screen, have you tried full-screen?! Mouse over a video and it's in the bottom right corner!

UPDATE: We're planning to adjust the default widths of the video player (wider) and the comments (narrower) in Discussions.

reecetag:homefield.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/9991592009-12-31T10:51:44-08:002009-12-31T10:51:44-08:00Online Playbook
an anonymous user suggested:
A simple online animated playbook could really enhance our players' ability to prepare for upcoming games. We're fully aware that HomeField is focused almost entirely on game film, and that there is room for a lot more. The question is: what will help your team win?

Making a "team's facebook account" might not be the best thing we can do for your team and we want to add features that make your experience - whether as a coach, a player, or a fan - as powerful as possible.

So, we are planning to include more info over time, and it is important to hear exactly what you think is relevant. If you have specific ideas, please share!

Thanks again.

reecetag:homefield.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/9326872009-12-15T09:27:31-08:002009-12-15T09:27:31-08:00I think the player/fan profiles could have more info [is now planned]
Coaches could have access to edit but maybe something like- ht, wt, position, maybe get into max bench, max squat. either way, make it so the player can personalize this and be on it a little longer then just for film. make it like a teams "facebook" account

One way to "hack" around this, would be to add that player as her own group. Then, 'Start a Discussion' around the video and only add her group. With the invite, you can add a message and she'll be the only one who sees it.

I know it's a work-around, but it should do the trick until we fix this.
